Easy Mini Meatballs With Ground Beef and Walnut

A very filling mini meatballs recipe with ground beef and walnut...Optional yogurt and mint sauce. Always a practical and delicious choice for dinner.

Ingredients
  

  • 500 gr ground beef
  • 1 piece onion middle sized
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp bradcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp crushed walnut optional
  • 1 tea cup flour
  • 200 ml liquid oil
  • 1/2 tea spoon cumin
  • peppermint the amount is up to your preference
  • black pepper the amount is up to your preference
  • salt the amount is up to your preference
  • 2 tbsp yogurt strained
  • 1/2 piece lemon peel plained
  • 1 tea spoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 tea spoon garlic powder
  • 3 pieces leave of mint

Instructions
 

  • Put the ground beef in a deep plate and add red pepper, salt, black pepper, crushed walnut, breadcrumbs, onion, egg and cumin.

  • Knead (if possible with your own hands) the meat for 10 minutes so that all spices and ground beef get well-blended.
  • Use a vacuum container and make it rest in the fridge for 20 minutes.
  • Take small pieces of the meatballs mix (smaller than a walnut) and roll them in your hands.
  • Add 6 tbps of liquid oil in an pan and warm the oil for 3 minutes on medium heat.
    200 ml liquid oil
  • Roll the meatballs koftas within the flour to add more texture.
    1 tea cup flour
  • Place the meatballs into the pan and fry them for 3 minutes
  • Place them on a paper towel and make them rest for 5 minutes.

Notes

NOTES
  1. You are completely free about the amount of spices. 
But to my humble opinion, try not to exceed 1 dessert spoon of each spice
If not, the spices would be too dominant. 
2. Do not avoid resting the shaped mini meatballs in the fridge for 20 minutes if not you won't obtain the maximum taste. 
3. Mint and strained yogurt sauce is optional but it's my favorite addition to this recipe. 
If you have enough time, I advise to serve the mini meatballs kofta recipe with this yogurt sauce.
