Garlic Green Beans With Tomatoes: Easy and Delicious

A perfect side dish made with green beans, olive oil and garlic...

Equipment

  • 1 vegetable peeler
  • 1 casserole
  • 1 cooking paper

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg green beans
  • 2 pieces onion middle sized
  • 1 teacup olive oil extra virgin
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 5 pieces tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Instructions
 

  • Peel, wash, cut them thinly and place them into the casserole
    1 kg green beans
  • Chop them thinly in small cubes, add garlic and place them on top of onions, add 1/2 tea cup of olive oil
  • Cut the cooking paper according to the dimension of your casserole.Wash the paper and squizz it.Then place it in the casserole on top of tomatoes. Close the casserole lid.
  • Start cooking the green beans for 10 minutes on high heat.
    After 10 minutes decrease the heat to minimum and continue cooking for 1 hour.
  • After the cooking step has been completed, keep the cooking paper on the dish and place the dish on a cool surface.
    Do not remove the lid of the casserole until it gets totally cooled down.
     
    Then put the dish in the fridge for 2 hours.

Instructions 
 
Step 1 Peel off the green beans, wash and drain them.
Step 2. Cut them thinly both vertically and horizantally. 
Step 3. Chop 2 middle sized onions and place them into the casserole, add 1/2 tea cup of olive oil. 
Step4. Add green beans on top of onions as a first layer. 
Step5.Add chopped garlic and the 1/2 tea cup of olive oil. 
Step 6. Chop the tomatoes as small cubes and add them into the casserole as another layer. 
Step7. Add 1 dessert spoon of salt and 2 dessert spoon of sugar. 
Step 8. Add 1 cup of water (at room temperature) 
Step 9. Wash the cooking paper and squizz it, then cover the vegetables with it (Be sure to cut the cooking paper according to the dimension of your casserole) 
Step 10. Close the lid and cook them for 10 minutes on high heat, then minimize the heat to minimum and cook for 1 more hour. 
The cooking time may vary according to the settings and features of your oven, so be sure to controle the dish every 20 minutes) 
Step 11.When cooked, take the casserole from the oven and leave it cool down on its own. 
Step 12. When cooled down you may prefer to serve the dish but for the maximum taste, let it rest in the fridge for 1 night if you have time.
